DESCRIPTION
This course will review the process of transitioning from traditional style hard hats to safety helmets that meet the Class II or EN 12492 ratings. Discussion items will include why the change was necessary, the challenges encountered throughout the transition process and where we’re heading with helmets.

Andrew and Paul work closely with construction contractors, manufacturers, and other industrial operators on managing all aspects of risk avoidance and liability in workplace safety, health, and environmental matters. Given their extensive experience in defending OSHA inspections and citations, including high-profile fatality and crisis situations, Andrew and Paul will discuss best practices and practical considerations regarding OSHA inspections. This session is an in-depth explanation of the workers compensation experience rating. Instructors from Missouri Employers Mutual will review the NCCI e-mod worksheet in a step-by-step fashion – defining terms, calculations and explaining the purpose of each worksheet column. The NCCI document “ABCs of Experience Rating” will be reviewed as part of this session. Specifically geared toward construction companies, important cost-savings information will be discussed, to include the importance of light duty programs, med-only claims, company-directed medical, and carrier cost-savings programs.
